The 2010 International, Intercultural and Intergenerational Community Oral Storytelling Festival at the former Immigration and Naturalization Services building in Seattle's International District is just a sample of a larger festival to take place in 2011 and subsequent years. This is a peacebuilding and reconciliation initiative bringing citizens from the immigrant, refugee, local, national and international communities to celebrate their heritage, share traditional stories, adapt tales and personal narratives and legacies.
This is an initiative of Amineh Ayyad and Adapt International. Please stay tuned as we update our website.
More information will be posted soon. Here are photos and the report on the 2010 festival.
